'Getting to Zero': New commission to explore how to manage threat to carbon intensive jobs

Up to 10 million jobs across the UK are in carbon intensive industries that will have to undertake fundamental reforms or risk being phased out as the country pursues its ambitious decarbonisation goals.
That is the headline conclusion from a major new report from centre-right think tank Onward, which was unveiled today to mark the launch of a new cross-party commission to explore the "practical and political challenges of delivering net zero by 2050".
