How the GSSI’s Seafood MAP is supporting sustainable seafood

Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) is a public-private network of NGOs, governments, and organisations that work closely with the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) towards the same goal: to preserve oceans for future generations and champion sustainable seafood for everyone.

Several seafood leaders formed this initiative, including Regal Springs – a Swedish tilapia fish producer with established operations worldwide. As the company’s head of corporate affairs, I sit on the GSSI steering board, joining representatives from across the seafood value chain to promote sector-wide collaboration.
